After many years of exile and forced life abroad, as His Beatitude Patriarch Josyf Slipyj dreamed, he rests in his native Ukraine.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the transfer of the mortal remains of His Beatitude Patriarch Josyf Slipyj from Rome to Lviv, an evening dedicated to his memory – “The Way to Immortality” – was held in St. George’s Cathedral!
During the event, all those present had the opportunity to enjoy the incredible works of art performed by the Honored Academic Chapel of Ukraine Trembita and the symphony orchestra of the Luhansk Regional Philharmonic
And to hear the spiritual word of Volodymyr Grutsa, who told about the difficult life of Iosyp Slipyj and his incredible strength of spirit, which our eternal enemies failed to break!
I am convinced that this evening will resonate in the heart of each of those present for a long time, so I am very glad that our team of the Charitable Foundation “Home of Mercy” joined the organization of this evening. I hope that we managed to give the audience happy moments in these difficult times!
I am also sincerely grateful to the author of the project Mykhailo Perun!
