Life credo: never betray your basic principles, be of greatest use to the society, never stop developing and obtaining new knowledges.
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy was born on February, 1, 1971 in Gorodyslavychi village in Lviv region.
He received his diploma of higher education in 1994 after graduating from Lviv Institute of Trade and Economics with the degree in “Accounting and analysis of economical activity”.
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy began his career immediately after graduation at the age of 21. In the same year he was employed at the customs clearance department of Lviv tobacco factory (1994-2000). In the 1970s it was owned by the American corporation R.J. Reynolds Tobacco.
According to Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy’s recollections: “During the collapse of the Soviet Union the corporation faced serious problems with the customs clearance of goods. The turnover was severely idle, and the factory could have lost about four billion (in coupons) because of it.” In just one month Kozlovskyy managed to save more than 2 billion. In gratitude the director of the factory gave him 100 dollars in addition to his salary and appointed him head of the department of foreign economic activity.
In 2010 Hryhoriy became a co-owner of the company and the director of the Lviv tobacco factory.
From 2000 to 2004 he worked as a commercial manager at “Vynnykivska tobacco factory”.
In the period from 2006 to 2010 he held the post of director of the construction company “Mega Evrostroy” LLC.
In 2009 he founded the hotel and restaurant complex “Sviatoslav” in Vynnyky, and since 2013 and today he is a co-owner and general director of the Lviv hotel “Grand Hotel”.
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy expanded his already successful restaurant business in 2018 by opening another one-of-a-kind establishment with live sharks – 36Po in the center of Lviv.
Since 2012, he has been vice president of the Dynamo Waterpolo Club.
Currently manages the real estate development company Avalon Inc.
Hryhoriy is an active public figure and volunteer. Back in 2010 Kozlovskyy founded the Svyatoslav Folk Dance Ensemble and is its honorary president.
Since 2009 he took under his patronage the adult and junior team of the soccer club Ruh in Vynnyky, actively sponsors and supports its development. And he is a four-time champion of the Premier League of Lviv region among amateurs (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015).
Hryhoriy sincerely loves his brainchild, so he began building the soccer academy and has high hopes for its future. The academy was the first of its kind so far and has no analogues in Ukraine. He believes that the academy will develop and become independent of his finances.
Since February 24, 2022, there were about 350 children left in the academy because of the occupation of some cities who could not return home. Due to Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy’s insistence, the Academy took them under its patronage and provided the children with housing, food, education and everything they needed to live.
In October 2010, a monument to Ogienko was unveiled on the site of the Markiewicz family home.
In September 2015, from the publishing house “Apriori” Kozlovskyy published a gift book-photo album dedicated to the celebration of the 660th anniversary of the first written mention of the town of Vynnyky.
Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian War, he has been active in volunteer activities.
In 2022 he founded the Charity Foundation “House of Mercy”, which specializes in providing humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians affected by the russian military operations in Ukraine. In April 2022, representatives of the Foundation, having visited Kyiv region, in the cities most affected by russian aggression, provided humanitarian aid to the locals. By Easter, the Foundation organized and conducted the #Easter for the Defender campaign and, thanks to the funds raised, sent Easter gifts to the frontline soldiers in Lviv.
Hryhoriy deployed a headquarters for assistance to internally displaced persons on the basis of the Ruh soccer club, where Ukrainians could receive necessary aid, food and essentials and where hot lunches and warmth were provided.
From the first days of russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, Kozlovskyy organized a checkpoint for protection against the enemy.
For his active assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine Hryhoriy received a number of significant awards, including: “Badge of Honor” (Ministry of Defense of Ukraine) for significant personal contribution to the life of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (2022), the award of the Lviv Regional Military Commissariat for significant contribution to development (2022), two distinctions of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine “Order of Our Savior Jesus Christ” and “Order of Archistratigus Michael” (2021), distinction of the commander of united forces “Cossack Cross” ІІІ degree (2020), distinction of 74th separate reconnaissance battalion -2 ІІІ degree (2019), honorary badge of the Chief of General Staff “For services to the Armed Forces of Ukraine” (2019), distinction of commander 80 ODShBr (2016), President “For humanitarian participation in the anti-terrorist operation” (2016).
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy believes that during the war every Ukrainian should show the younger generation by his example and position what does it mean to love Ukraine, in what ways you can and must develop, build and defend it, and how exactly each of us can make a personal contribution to the victory of Ukraine.
Regarding his family life, Hryhoriy is a happy father of five children. There are three children from his first wife: a son and two daughters. The second time Kozlovskyy married a talented Ukrainian singer – Yulia Dumanska. They are raising two children – a daughter and a son.
