The design of the TERRA restaurant in the Grand Emily Resort complex won the prestigious international Best of Year Award in the Hotel Dining category. This award is founded by one of the oldest American design publications, Interior Design Magazine, and the 17th award ceremony took place this year.

Lviv businessman Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy announced the victory. According to him, the institution was opened on the outskirts of Lviv this year, and its concept is aimed at popularising modern Ukraine, which is constantly developing and improving.
“We are proud to receive this award during a difficult time for Ukraine. I am a Ukrainian, and I work with Ukrainians; I am proud that we are the best in everything, including design. Ukraine was, is and will be. Emily Resort is a unique space in which we have combined Ukrainian nature, modern design solutions, the best food and services for recreation. Everything is for the Ukrainian economy to work, even during the war,” commented Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy.
The design of TERRA Restaurant is made in terroir style. This word comes from winemaking and characterises the unique characteristics of wine, which are inherent only to the region where the vine grew, – explains the YODGroup design studio.
“It is valuable that this particular project won – an institution whose concept reflects Ukraine and Ukrainian design. We called this approach “terroir design”. When a project grows out of the area where it originated, it reflects its mood, colour, natural and cultural landscape,” YODGroup emphasised.
Another project of the YOD Group company was also nominated for the award — the lobby of the GrandEmily Resort hotel. It was presented in the “Small Commercial Lobby + Amenity Space” category.
