The President of the “Ruh” together with the President of the “Karpaty” Volodymyr Matkivsky and Oleksandr Shevchenko, the head of the Lviv Football Association, contributed financially to help the families of football ultras who died in the war and transferred to the charity fund one and a half million hryvnias.
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, President of FC “Ruh”: “The football community is a big family. Football club “Ruh” together with the president of “Karpaty” Volodymyr Matkivsky and Oleksandr Shevchenko, the head of the Lviv Football Association, joined the fund “Tribune of Heroes” and transferred 500 thousand hryvnias to help the families of football fans who died in the war. Once again, with this action we demonstrate: no matter which team we support, we are all together, we are all united by a common goal. We all have the same goal – the victory of Ukraine and help to people who suffered in the war. Taking this opportunity, I would like to urge football people to join the fund.”
The initiators of the charity fund “Tribune of Heroes” were Ukrainian football ultras. The purpose of the fund is to provide systematic financial, social and legal support to the families of football fans killed in the war.
Tikhon AMOSOV, founder of the charity fund “Tribune of Heroes”: “From the first days of the full-scale invasion we began to receive a lot of news about the death of our guys. Our goal is to help the families of the ultras killed in the war. In order for the fund to work, it is very important to have the support of the football community. Here in Lviv we have it. This is an unprecedented action, because Ukrainian football is united around one common goal.”
Dmytro Kukuruza, co-founder of the charity fund “Tribune of Heroes”: “The war has already claimed the lives of 111 guys who represented the ultras of Ukrainian clubs. Therefore, we are very pleased that the football community supported our initiative and is making every effort to achieve the goal of the fund.”
