A rehabilitation department for defenders was opened in the Lviv regional hospital for war veterans and repressed people named after Yuri Lypa. 10 wards and 10 administrative premises with an area of 700 square meters have been restored.
The family of a well-known Lviv businessman and philanthropist, honorary president of FC “Ruh” Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy financially helped to renew one of the wards. It became thematic. A mural with the abbreviation of the “Ruh” football club was created there. “This ward is the most functional and modern. There is air conditioning, air purification, and completely new furniture here. We are very grateful to the family of Mr. Kozlovskyy and to all the donors we have,” said the head of the International Headquarters for Aid to Ukrainians, Hanna Krysyuk.
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy especially noted that they had deliberately filled the chamber with sports themes. Because football murals on the walls should inspire people to a positive life-affirming mood and charge our defenders with optimism. “We always respond to initiatives that will help bring our greatest Victory closer, that will speed it up and contribute to the expulsion of orcs from our land. Helping our hospitals is one of our priorities. When it comes to supporting our defenders, our family doesn’t think twice. And we will continue to do it, as it is a very useful and necessary thing,” Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy emphasized.
Donors not only from Ukraine but also from Poland and Austria joined this project. Inventory, household appliances, televisions, hygiene products, bedclothes and even books were purchased for the rehabilitation department.
“Almost 700 square meters of the rehabilitation department based on our hospital have been restored. Now our patients and protectors who need high-quality treatment will be in really good condition, and it also 100 percent helps in faster recovery. We must do everything to ensure that our defenders recover as quickly as possible and return to normal life,” said Maksym Prykupenko, Director of the Lviv Regional Hospital for War Veterans and Repressed People named after Yury Lypa.
The project “Restoration of the rehabilitation department for defenders and defenders of Ukraine” has been ongoing since May. It was a priority for local authorities. Defenders who have been seriously wounded and injured in combat deserve to be rehabilitated and treated in comfortable conditions.
“Our task is to provide quality medical services. A huge thank you to the sponsors who are ready to spend their money and help the state, create conditions so that the fighters, returning from the frontlines, can receive quality medical treatment in quality conditions. Many thanks to the “Ruh” for this help. I think that with joint efforts we will not only fight on the football field but also fight at the frontlines, fight those things that have not been done before,” said the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi
The “Ruh” football club may soon organise a football tournament for defenders as part of the rehabilitation program.
