The honorary president of the soccer club “Ruh” (Lviv) Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy shared his opinion about the start of the new season
“I was very pleased to read the information from Vadim Gutzeit, the Minister of Sport, that the start of the new championship is scheduled for August 23. First of all, we are already specific. Secondly, this date is very symbolic, because Ukrainian soccer will return to stadiums on the birthday of the Ukrainian flag and on the eve of Independence Day. Thus, our soccer community and the whole country demonstrate our stability and steadfastness to everyone”, explained the president of Ruh SC.
Kozlovskyy noted that despite all of russia’s attempts to destroy its citizens, Ukraine was, is, and will be. And it is all thanks to the heroism of our soldiers and their exploits.
“A deep bow to everyone, because it is because of them we continue to make plans for the future, including the restoration of sports life in Ukraine. Yes, it will not be an easy season, but at the same time it will be a special one. Our players will play in Ukraine and this is the only right decision,” he added.
The president of Ruh SC explained that this way the clubs will demonstrate their unity with the Ukrainian people. Unfortunately, there will be no fans in the stadiums, but everything must be done so that Ukrainians can watch the matches on television or on the Internet.
“We have a lot of pleasant worries ahead. I look forward to the start of the Ukrainian Premier League championship,” Kozlovskyy added.
