The 45th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received a new batch of aid from the “Ruh” football club and its founder Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy – six “Mara” unmanned aerial vehicles were handed over to the defenders. This drone has a significant flight range, resistance to enemy radio-electronic warfare and can stay up in the air for up to 90 minutes. It is used for deep surveillance behind enemy lines without danger to operators.
The aircraft-type drones that the 45th Brigade received from “Ruh” are two full-fledged complexes with two control points. They are developed and produced by a Ukrainian manufacturer.
Ihor Dedyshyn, a general director of FC “Ruh”: “War is now more technological in nature. It is gratifying that Ukraine has its own production of high-tech means of combat. Victory is always forged by our military at the front, directly on the front lines, but it is no less important that the foundation of this victory is laid in the rear. It is good that there are plenty of scientific minds in the rear, their efforts are aimed at helping our army. And these wings, which they create, are our wings of Victory, I am sure of it, and on them we will accomplish it.”
One of the advantages of “Mara” is the small take-off weight of the device – about 2.5 kg and the possibility of hand-launching without the use of additional devices. The entire complex, together with the aircraft, antennas and additional equipment, fits into a bag weighing up to 20 kg.
Call sign “Deputy”, a soldier of the 45th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: “These complexes are mostly used for photography. They fly far, they do it quietly, you set the route, the drones provide you with clear photos with coordinates. After that, the artillery can work. Due to the fact that the camera is at the bottom, “Mara” can take high-quality photos even in bad weather conditions. It takes photos best at an altitude of 400 m, but it can fly up to two kilometers. It is very nice that such close cooperation between the “Ruh” football club and our “45th” has been established. With such fruitful help, our brigade will show results at the front.”
The day before, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy and his football club “Ruh” had already handed over 7 DJI Mavic 3 quadcopters to the 45th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as “Poseidon” drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
