UAH 3.7 million UAH from Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy and FC Ruh to form mobile fire teams in Lviv Oblast

The funds raised by the Ruh Football Club and its founder, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, were used to purchase the necessary equipment for the newly created mobile fire teams that will protect the skies over Lviv Oblast.

FC Ruh and Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy contributed to the creation of the first 30 mobile fire teams designed to detect and destroy kamikaze drones in the Lviv region. Vehicles fully equipped for this mission have already been handed over to the Western Air Command.

Mobile fire teams defending Lviv region

“We currently have 30 mobile fire groups in formation. A large number of drones are attacking various targets in Lviv region, so we need to prevent this,” said Denys Levkovych, an officer of the West Air Command.

FC Ruh and Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy donated UAH 3.7 million to this initiative. The groups were formed in accordance with the needs of the military, they were tested and modified to ensure their effectiveness in all conditions, including night time.

“The occupiers’ shelling is intensifying, and a large number of Shahedis are attacking Ukraine. They usually target critical infrastructure and energy facilities. The aggressor’s actions encourage us to act and help the Ukrainian Armed Forces more decisively. Therefore, the creation of mobile fire teams to guard the skies over Lviv region and the purchase of equipment for them is a priority for us today. This is how FC Ruh joined the formation of the first 30 mobile firing groups. The equipment they are equipped with will help our soldiers shoot down kamikaze drones, keep the sky over Ukraine and keep the homes of Ukrainians warm. Today, it is important to help our soldiers, and everyone should be useful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and then the victory will be Ukraine’s,” said Hryhoriy Petrovich Kozlovskyy.

“We are sincerely grateful to FC Ruh for their socially responsible position and financial assistance in establishing these groups. The club’s founder, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, was one of the first to respond to this initiative and donated UAH 3.7 million to purchase vehicles and necessary equipment,” said Maksym Kozytsky, head of the Lviv-based organization of military-patriotic groups, People’s Self-Defense of Lviv Region.

The project organizers emphasize that this is only the first half of the groups organized by the Lviv UIA, the Western Air Command, and socially responsible businesses. The next 30 groups are to be equipped and delivered within the next month. The cost of completing one group is approximately UAH 500 thousand, excluding the cost of cars. Each group includes a vehicle equipped with thermal imagers, night vision devices, laser pointers, flashlights, sights, tablets, and weapons to shoot down drones.

“Our mobile fire teams have modern equipment. In total, socially responsible businesses have donated more than UAH 30 million to this project, but funding continues to come in, as we need to continue forming mobile fire groups,” said Artem Khmyz, head of the People’s Self-Defense of Lviv Oblast NGO.

The founder of the Movement, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, also noted the importance of supporting the Ukrainian military, emphasizing that every citizen should be useful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and then the victory will be Ukraine’s.

“It is very important to consistently help our defenders as they are fighting for our country against the Russian occupiers and need our support. Every Ukrainian should be useful to the Armed Forces and help in any way they can. “The Movement has been consistently supporting the military and will continue to do so on a regular basis. Only by uniting and using joint efforts will we be able to defeat our enemy,” Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy emphasized.
