The pupils of the Ruh Academy born in 2010 returned home with a triumphant victory in the Children’s and Youth Football League (CYFL) Winter Cup. In the final in Kyiv, the Yellow and Blacks confidently defeated their older rivals, the U-16 team Livyi Bereh, 3-0.
The young champions were greeted at the Academy in a special ceremony. The founder of Rukh, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, together with the club’s management, staff and other students, organized a championship corridor for the winners. After the presentation of the trophy, the Ruh U-15 team celebrated the victory with a specially prepared championship cake.
“We managed to defend the title, which is evidence of the formation of club traditions,” emphasized Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy. “It is especially valuable that this time it was done by the younger players. We have really strong teams – 2008, 2009, and 2010, which has now won the trophy. I believe that the Ruh Academy has just begun to amaze the football world.”
Kozlovskyy emphasized the club’s philosophy: “For me, Ruh is primarily an Academy. Our first team is created for our students so that they can go through all the stages of development and reach the top of the football Olympus. The priority is to get the club’s pupils into the first team as soon as possible if they prove themselves. It’s only a matter of time before a 15-year-old player makes his debut for the team.”
“The results are important, but the most important thing is that the children play interesting and high-quality football and enjoy it themselves,” added the club’s founder. “When I watched the final, I got incredible pleasure. These kids are future first team players, but we have to wait a little bit.”

Volodymyr Bezubiak, Director of the Ruh Academy, also congratulated the winners: “I congratulate the team and coaching staff of Rukh U-15 on the quality of their work and the unique result. This team has very talented players with a good future. In the decisive stages of the competition, our pupils won crushing victories, and this result is difficult to repeat.”
