An unusual sports match took place – the media team of Lviv’s Rukh tried their hand at hockey for the first time, meeting the team of the club’s honorary president, Hryhoriy Kozlovsky. The match ended in a 14-2 victory for the president’s team.
This match was special because Ruh Media Team was previously known for its success in media football. The team’s transition to hockey was unexpected for many – in the morning, the team announced on its Instagram that it would stop operating in the usual format and move to a new sports direction.
“This is a new challenge for us, but we are winners. We were the kings of media football, now it’s time to conquer media hockey,” commented one of the team members.
The match turned out to be full of emotions and highlights, although the players of the media team have yet to master the intricacies of a new sport. “There will be goals, fouls and emotions,” one of the players shared his expectations before the match.

Despite the defeat, the team’s debut in a new role was an important step in the development of media sports in Lviv. The team is determined to continue training and improve its results in future matches.
