Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, the founder of FC Ruh and the Ruh v Budynuvannya charity foundation, helped organize the Heroes’ Cup tournament and charity auction. The events were held on the occasion of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine in cooperation with the Lviv Regional Military Administration and the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment.
Six teams consisting of military, police and medical personnel competed in the tournament. In addition, each team had star players: Yuriy Pankiv, Valeriy Fedorchuk, Mykola Morozyuk, Volodymyr Yezerskyi, Vasyl Sachko, Taras Mykhalyk, Mykhailo Kopolovets and others. This tournament was held according to the rules of media football.
After the award ceremony, a charity auction was held to raise funds for the purchase of drones and rehabilitation of wounded soldiers. The event was hosted by Andriy Bednyakov and attended by Okean Elzy frontman Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, 2024 Paralympic Games champion Viktor Didukh, Mary frontman Viktor Vynnyk and other celebrities. In total, they managed to raise UAH 4 million for the needs of the defenders.
