A great club with great traditions, Lviv Dynamo recently celebrated its 75th anniversary. The celebrations recalled the history of Dynamo, honored Dynamo players of different generations, and also redeemed the stamp that the club and Ukrposhta developed for the team’s 75th anniversary.
“Dynamo Lviv has been the most titled water polo club in Ukraine since 1949. It is the only team in Ukraine that has not missed a single Ukrainian championship since 1949.
Honorary President of FC Ruh Lviv Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy noted that the athletes, coaches and the entire Dynamo Lviv team have come a long way in 75 years, but there is still a lot of work to be done and new victories to be won.
“For me, WC Dynamo Lviv is one of the symbols of sporty Lviv. Today, the team is showing excellent results, developing and moving forward. I am confident that this club has a great future, people here live with their hearts to develop and increase the glory of the team,” said Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy.
Oleksandr Svishchov, President of the Ukrainian Water Polo Federation and Honorary President of WC Dynamo Lviv, noted that during the years of Ukraine’s independence and especially during his presidency, the club has achieved significant results: in a few years it became a seven-time champion of Ukraine, an eight-time winner of the Ukrainian Cup, and a three-time winner of the Ukrainian Super Cup. Today, WC Dynamo Lviv is the absolute leader of the Super League in the 2023/2024 water polo season, as well as the winner of the Ukrainian Water Polo Cup for the seventh year in a row.
“First of all, I would like to thank all generations of WC Dynamo Lviv: the club’s veterans, coaches, and players of different generations. They made a great contribution to the development of the team. Today, we have the example of past generations on how to achieve high results. I know that the current players will multiply and glorify the club not only in Ukraine but also in the international arena. I congratulate everyone involved on the anniversary,” said Alexander Svishchov on the occasion of the club’s anniversary.
Hryhorii Kozlovskyi and Oleksandr Svishchov are actively involved in the development of Ukrainian sports. They are making a lot of efforts to ensure that our national community has proper conditions for training under martial law and reaches a new level. Children and youth had the opportunity to develop, and Ukrainian athletes had the opportunity to give Ukraine new victories.
For their contribution to the development of the country’s sports life, the Obozrevatel newspaper named Oleksandr Svishchov and Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy among the top 10 businessmen in Western Ukraine who are actively developing sports.
