The youngest players of FC Ruh (Lviv) from the U-10 and U-11 teams took part in the international Number One Cup tournament held in Poland.
The youngest team, Ruh U-10, won the tournament, defeating Portuguese side Porto 2-1 in the final. And Ruh U-11 won a silver medal, losing in the final to Portuguese Sporting with a score of 0:1.
The Honorary President and founder of FC Ruh said: “These results are a fantastic triumph for Lviv youth at the European level. This is a significant achievement for Ruh’s young players, which demonstrates their high skill and promise. And participation in such tournaments gives them the opportunity to gain valuable experience, compete with strong rivals from other countries and demonstrate their talents in the international arena.”
During the tournament, the Yellow and Blacks competed with students from well-known European academies and once again proved how powerful the Ruh Academy is. In particular, on their way, Ukrainian footballers defeated English teams Everton, Barnsley and Middlesbrough, a number of Polish teams and parted ways with Portuguese Benfica.
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy congratulated the young players on their fantastic results in the tournament and wished them new victories in the future.
“Guys, the club is proud of each of you! You are the future of Ruh, and it’s great to see that you have been thirsty for victories and glorifying the Yellow and Blacks in Europe since you were young. This is just the beginning of your great journey in football and your main victories are still ahead! Good luck to you and your coaches!” – added Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy.
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy noted that Ruh football club will continue to do everything to progress towards the highest goals. Another victory of the youth at the Number One Cup is a great confirmation of these words.
