Lviv football club Ruh continues to make a confident statement in the European arena. The pupils of the U-16 Academy, led by the Academy’s founder Hryhorii Kozlovskyy, made a landmark trip to Germany, where they not only demonstrated a high level of play but also fulfilled an important patriotic mission.
Spiritual support: a visit to the grave of Stepan Bandera
Before taking the field against one of the world’s strongest clubs, the Ruh delegation visited the resting place of OUN leader Stepan Bandera in Munich. The founder of the Academy, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, addressed the young players with a powerful speech, emphasizing the symbolism of this place.
“I really wanted you to come here today. This is not just a tourist trip for you. Here are the roots of Ukraine, a man who laid down his life for the future of an independent country. This trip should awaken your DNA and your free soul. You have to show what kind of fighters you are on the field today and show the whole world who Ukrainians are in the future,” said Kozlovskyy.
Triumph over Bayern Munich: 2-0 in favor of Lviv
The words of inspiration were translated into a result on the scoreboard. Nazar Savytskyi’s team played a friendly match against their peers from Bayern Munich. Despite the fact that several older players played for the Germans, the Ruh players dominated the field:
- The first goal: Ilya Bodak completed the team’s brilliant combination.
- Second goal: Artem Fedushko doubled the lead with a spectacular long-range shot from outside the penalty area.
The German side recognized the strength of the Ukrainian school. Bayern’s coaches noted the high intensity of the pressure and the individual skills of the Lviv players.
Ruh Academy is in a trend of constant growth
This victory is yet another confirmation that the development strategy chosen by Hryhorii Kozlovskyy is bearing fruit. The Academy is not just functioning, it is constantly evolving, implementing the most advanced European methods.
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy shared his impressions of the visit to Bayern’s infrastructure:
“Ukrainian football has a future. The stars are growing, and I am glad that the Academy is working well. We looked at the level of Bayern Munich and saw something new that we don’t have yet. I think that in six months this will appear in the Rukh Academy as well. The process is underway, we are moving on.”
From sparring to the dream of the Champions League
After the successful game, the young champions attended a Champions League match at the legendary Allianz Arena, where they watched Bayern Munich and Atalanta. For many of the boys, this became an additional motivation to go out on this pitch not as spectators or sparring participants, but as professional players of the main European tournament.
The U-16 Ruh will return home and prepare for the matches of the National League of the Future. But the main exam in Munich was passed with flying colors: both sports and patriotic.
