The founder of the Ruh football club, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, has once again demonstrated his active citizenship by donating UAH 4 million to St. Panteleimon Hospital of the First Territorial Medical Association of Lviv. The funds will be used to purchase modern medical equipment – an expert-class video system with a video gastroscope and a video colonoscope.
The latest video system – a chance for early diagnosis
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy noted that the new equipment will allow for high-quality endoscopic examinations and detection of tumors at early stages. The doctors, in turn, noted that the image provided by the system based on the ERK-i5000 video processor allows not only diagnosing but also promptly removing tumors without surgery. This greatly facilitates treatment for patients and reduces the workload for surgeons.
Prevention of oncological pathologies and urgent care
The funds provided by Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy will be used to purchase equipment that will also allow the medical institution to conduct screening examinations to prevent cancer. In addition, the system allows to effectively stop gastrointestinal bleeding in 95% of cases without laparotomy.
Kozlovskyy: “Contribution to medicine is a contribution to the future”
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy emphasized that the support for healthcare in Lviv region continues.
“We continue to support the healthcare system of Lviv region. These funds will be used to purchase a video system that will help save lives and diagnose diseases at early stages. Our doctors are the guarantors of the health of Ukrainians, and we must facilitate their work. This is not our first and certainly not the last cooperation with medical institutions,” said Grigory Kozlovsky.
Systemic assistance: Support for medical institutions in Lviv region
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy FC Ruh has repeatedly provided substantial assistance to healthcare institutions:
- UAH 2 million for the Yuriy Lypa Lviv Regional Hospital for War Veterans to equip a blood bank.
- UAH 3 million (jointly with Emily Resort) for the repair of the Okhmatdyt hospital.
- UAH 2 million for cardiac surgery equipment for the Unbroken Center.
- UAH 2 million in urgent aid to the Kyiv Children’s Hospital “Okhmatdyt” after a missile attack.
