Hryhorii Kozlovskyy – FC Ruh U-19 players will become champions of Ukraine again

The founder and owner of FC Ruh, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, commented on the performance of the U-19 team this season. The football official believes that Ruh U-19 players will become champions of Ukraine again in the coming years, as there are all the aspects for this.

“Ruh has taken a global course of rejuvenation and next season it will be a global rejuvenation where children born in 2007-2008 will play, but in a season and the following seasons we will be champions! This is the club’s strategy! Be patient, friends! The hegemony of the movement is coming soon! This requires faith and patience!” said Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, the founder of FC Ruh.

The honorary president of FC Ruh, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, invests all his efforts and resources in the FC Ruh Football Academy he created. More than 200 children study at the FC Ruh Academy, which trains talented football players. The youngest age group at the Academy is U-10, while the oldest are the U-17 players.

Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy said that one of the secrets of Ruh’s success is its consistency. After the Yellow and Black Academy was opened, the team chose to develop its own players and use them to strengthen the main team. Currently, the core of Lviv’s team is made up of Ruh players, who have been champions of Ukraine in the U-19 category for two years in a row and played in the UEFA Youth League. In the UEFA Youth League of the 2022/23 season, FC Ruh overcame two qualifying rounds and reached the 1/8 finals.

Ruh players participate in Ukrainian and international competitions of the highest level, playing in tournaments with top European clubs. And recently, two players of FC Rukh have been included in the prestigious Golden Boy Football Benchmark rating. Bohdan Slyubyk ranks 67th in this ranking, and Yevhen Pastukh ranks 82nd. Both players are the only Ukrainians among the 100 nominees for the prestigious award. The rating is based on the results of players from October 3, 2023 to April 28, 2024.

Earlier, CIES Football Observatory calculated the number of minutes played by U-21 players in 61 leagues around the world, including the top 31 leagues in Europe. The rating was headed by Lviv’s FC Ruh, founded by Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, with a score of 52.4%. Slovakia’s Zilina took second place with 44.5, and the Austrian Red Bull from Salzburg was third with 42.7.

We would also like to remind you that FC Ruh won the bronze medal at the UEFA Grassroots Awards, which is awarded to those football clubs that have achieved particular success in working with young people and have created successful development projects.

“Our students are our future! And it is at times like this that you realize that we are on the right track! I am very pleased that the Ruh Football Academy is educating future stars who will become the pride of this country,” said Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, founder of FC Ruh.

Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy noted that the Ruh football club and Academy and the entire yellow and black family will continue to do everything to develop football, nurture talented players and reach new heights.
