A charity football match in support of Ukrainian border guards was held in Lutsk. FC Ruh veterans played against a combined team of SC Volyn veterans and Tam Tam hypermarket employees. The event is aimed at raising funds for FPV drones for the Shkval rapid response border commandant of the 7th Border Guard Detachment.

The game took place at the Avangard Stadium and consisted of three halves of 25 minutes each. During the breaks and after the match, a charity auction was held to sell football memorabilia, including a Rukh jersey with players’ autographs and equipment of former players of the Ukrainian national team.

Hryhoriy Kozlovsky, founder of the Rukh, emphasized the importance of such events to support morale and raise funds for the military. He emphasized the need for continued assistance to Ukraine’s defenders:

“It turned out to be a good football festival and the main thing is that a lot of people gathered, who were happy with what they saw and donated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It’s a shame that there is no professional football in Lutsk now, but the audience finally got a great show. It was clear that the fans missed the game.

We need to support our military all the time, and people should not forget that there is a war in Ukraine. Everyone should be involved in helping our defenders. It is important that we managed to raise funds for drones for border guards, which they will use to destroy enemies.”Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, founder FC “Ruh”, said.

Famous footballers played for the Ruh team, including Yuriy Pankiv, Hryhoriy and Borys Barantsi, Yaroslav Martyniuk, Mykola Morozyuk and others. The match ended in a 3-3 draw.

Mykola Morozyuk, a former player of the Ukrainian national team, expressed his pleasure at participating in such a charity event, emphasizing its importance for supporting Ukrainian soldiers.
